Spatineo is proud to announce our participation and sponsorship at OGC Connect event, taking place June 1–4, 2026, in Helsinki, Finland. As an active, long-standing member of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), we are excited to welcome the global geospatial community to our home turf for the 135th OGC Technical Meeting. We invite you to engage with us throughout the event to discuss how we can together shape the future of geospatial interoperability.

This year's event centers on the theme “Interoperable Systems, Real-World Impact.” The program is structured into two parallel tracks: Build, which dives deep into standards and architectural foundations, and Apply, which focuses on real-world implementation and deployment.

A major highlight of the conference takes place on Wednesday, June 3rd. We highly recommend the Apply track, which focuses on the integration of drones and unmanned systems within the security sector, geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), and the interoperability required to support these operations. The day's keynote address will be delivered by Mikko Hyppönen, Chief Research Officer at Sensofusion and one of the world’s leading cyber security experts.

Live presentation from Ilkka Rinne at the OGC Europe Forum

On Tuesday at 13:00, Spatineo’s Founder and Interoperability Architect, Ilkka Rinne, will speak at the OGC Europe Forum: Practical Solutions for Geospatial Interoperability Challenge.

Ilkka has been an active member of several OGC working groups since 2009. In addition to his architectural role, he is the Product Owner for Spatineo Discovery®, an AI-powered search tool built specifically for ArcGIS Pro users.

In this session, Ilkka will discuss practical solutions to geospatial interoperability challenges. He will introduce how Spatineo Discovery® solves these connectivity issues by bringing the world’s largest database of active open geospatial services directly into ArcGIS Pro, allowing GIS professionals to easily find and access the data they need within their native workflow.
